Digital Playground Announces 'Apocalypse X' Action Thriller

BURBANK, Calif. — Digital Playground has announced Jakodema’s “Apocalypse X,” an end-of-days action thriller starring Stevie Shae, which will premiere online Thursday, Sept. 11.

“Apocalypse X” takes place in a dystopian future plagued with destruction and an endless search for water, due to the earth’s depleted natural resources.

The film follows Razor (the Ghost), played by Stevie Shae, as she travels alone in search for water, gas and revenge against Scar, played by Derrick Pierce. During her journey for vengeance, she encounters numerous characters and whets her sexual appetite along the way.

“The movie carries a dark halo due to the motives behind Razor's journey,” Stevie Shae told XBIZ, flushing out the plot. “She lived happy and merrily, but then the Reapers began taking over the cities. One by one they claimed their territory. Then one day they came and killed her husband and dragged her [away] against her will, until she decided it was time to seek the ultimate revenge … destroying anyone who got in her way just to get her hands on the man responsible, who took everything away from her.”

Evinced by the hardcore trailer, Razor plays one badass, er, fucker. Decked in black leather and fueled by bloodlust, she rides a tricked out Mustang around the desert looking for her marks. “They call me 'the Ghost'," Shae says in the trailer, "Born from the flames of evil.”

Shae insists that fans should “expect the unexpected” from the action-laden film. “I can't deny how amazing it felt to drive the black Mustang and the "Monster Carlo," she said. “The adrenaline that came from within was so natural when I raced, I believe I had way too much fun driving in the desert. I felt invincible!”

"Apocalypse X" was shot on location for five days, with extras from Wasteland Weekend. It features seven high-energy, hardcore sex scenes and and co-stars Anikka Albrite, Veronica Rodriguez, Abby Cross, Eva Karera, Mischa Brooks, Derrick Pierce, Mick Blue, Ryan Driller, Tommy Gunn, Richie Calhoun and Steven St. Croix.

“I was taught that to make a good movie, all you need is a sexy girl and a gun,” director Jakodema told XBIZ, citing French filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. “How can you go wrong with Stevie Shae? With a sawed off shotgun and a kick-ass car, creates a dream for any director.”

Although the guns used in the film are cinema props, Jakodema insists that they “looked and felt as if they were the real deal.”

Following the film’s debut, Shae will take over Digital Playground’s Twitter on Sept. 16 to discuss “Apocalypse X” and answer fan questions. To participate, follow @DPxxx on Twitter and use the hashtag #AskStevie.
