Wane was named best overall personality at KSEX, while Batman received the Annual Mike Rick Award, given in honor of the former KSEX president, who died in 2002.
Adult star Sunset Thomas acted as nominal host of the event, while KSEX deejay Wankus narrated the action with a high-energy, colorful play-by-play from offstage. Neon and blacklight illuminated the dark interior of Paladino's Club in Tarzana, causing gin-and-tonics to glow bright blue. Rhythm-and-blues rock band Slapbak provided music throughout the show, and Grammy-award-winning hip hop artist Layzie Bone (of Bone Thugz-N-Harmony) closed the evening. Pink Visual was the executive sponsor of the event, XFANZ the media sponsor.
Sunny Lane captured the Best Badonkadonk in the House award, which either recognized the best backside on the KSEX staff, or the best skill at shaking it. In any event, Lane celebrated her win by shaking and grooving with Slapbak onstage and offering the crowd an unobstructed look at her assets.
"I'm very proud to have won the best badonkadonk award from KSEX," Lane told XBIZ. "Not bad for a white girl -- I've got a really nice tushy. I'm so happy I got to show my ass. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to."
