HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Common sense dictates: don't fuck with politicians, the mob or crazy mistresses, but that's exactly what happens in Smash Pictures’ new feature, “American Hustle XXX Porn Parody,” scheduled for a September release. The first trailer is set to debut Aug. 7.
Directed by Will Ryder, Smash says the feature offers a “fast-paced, breathtaking romp into the dirty underworld of mobsters, corrupt politicians, cons and sexy women.”
"This was an unbelievable project to shoot, fascinatingly sexy and completely different from anything we've tackled before," said Will Ryder, who directed and co-produced the movie with his production partner Scott David for Smash Pictures.
"The cast delivered picture-perfect performances and actually became the vibrant characters before shedding their clothes for the best sex I've seen all year," David added.
Aaliyah Love and Penny Pax play the leading ladies made famous by Hollywood's Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams, while Tommy Gunn and Ryan McClain take on the males leads originally portrayed by Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper.
Rounding out the cast are Carter Cruise, Luna Starr, Mia Austin, Rio Lee, Tommy Pistol, Van Wylde, Kurt Lockwood, Eric John, Frank Bukkwyd, James Bartholet and Jack Vegas. Ryder makes a brief cameo appearance as a desperate mark looking for a loan.
The original “American Hustle” earned 10 Academy Award nominations, and Smash reps said they hope the parody can muster similar recognition in the industry award arena.
"This one is going to be huge because it has everything you want in a feature adult movie,” Ryder said. “The women on set seemed starved for sex, so they really let go and went wild delivering some spectacular performances on top of their uncanny acting performances."
The film follows two swindlers, Irving Rosenfeld (Tommy Gunn) and Sydney Prosser (Penny Pax), who fall in love amidst an FBI sting. But when Irving’s wife, Roselyn (Aaliyah Love), sleeps with the mob, things get downright dangerous. Politicians, criminals and the feds clash, leading to intrigue and plenty of graphic sex.
"I love this cast, and the work they put into this picture to make it as good as it is," Ryder added. "This is no cheap movie, and it might be the best movie I've ever worked on.”
