TLA Raw, POPPORN Merge Under POPPORN Brand

PHILADELPHIA — TLA Entertainment on Thursday announced a re-branding of its straight adult division, merging the TLA RAW retail website and direct mail catalog with the adult entertainment blog POPPORN.com. The new entity will operate under the POPPORN brand name.

The new PopPorn adult entertainment site can be seen here.

The merger of these two sites comes on the heels of TLA Entertainment's acquisition in January by Sterling Genesis, an international investment group, and the promotion of Brian Sokel to executive director of all TLA Entertainment retail divisions.

Sokel said of the merger and re-branding, "TLA has had an unbelievable revitalization over the last three months. The acquisition lead to reinvigoration and fresh investment in our business allowing us to re-think our brand in the straight adult marketplace. It's only logical to merge our shopping site with our blog into one perfect adult entertainment destination under the name that most closely matches who we are: POPPORN — The perfect blend of pop entertainment, nudity, porn, and more."

The company said the new POPPORN "promises a continued commitment to providing the very best in home entertainment for adults at low prices offering privacy for their valuable customers." Orders will continue to be shipped in discreet packaging with no mention of the word “porn." The TLA RAW direct mail catalog will also be re-branded starting with issue 459.

TLAgay.com, TLA Entertainment's gay retail division, will be unaffected by this change.

POPPORN on-camera personality, Spock Buckton, offered his own take on this merger. A video and his own press release can be seen and read here.
