Jenna Jameson, Boyfriend Sign Up for VH1's 'Couples Therapy'

LOS ANGELES — Jenna Jameson has signed on along with her current boyfriend John Wood to co-star in the fifth season of “VH1 Couples Therapy With Dr. Jenn.

The show description reads, “Everyone knows how much work even the best of relationships can be, but imagine the pressure of having your relationship scrutinized under a media spotlight where everything is blown out of proportion. Living in the spotlight really amps up the pressure of being in a relationship and ‘VH1 Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn’ hopes to shed a little light on the complicated and often misunderstood world of high-profile relationships.”

The show is slated to premiere Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

Despite the suggestive moniker, Wood earns his keep outside the adult industry as the owner of Syndicate MMA, where he is also an MMA coach. His Twitter pics are rife with romantic snapshots of him and a put-together looking Jameson, including a car selfie taken on May 16 with the tagline, “Life is good!! @jennajameson.”

Meanwhile, 2014 XBIZ Awards hostess Jameson faced intense media scrutiny this year and last after she canceled a string of TV and radio interviews to promote her latest book, “Sugar.” She decided to curtail appearances after she botched a few live interviews, including a truncated spot on “Good Morning New York.” Her fraught relationship with now-ex Tito Ortiz also gets the Hollywood microscope treatment every time a development unfolds or a negative Tweet is tossed.

Other couples seeking advice from relationship therapist Dr. Jenn Berman this season include “Big Brother” alum Dick "Evil Dick" Donato and girlfriend Stephanie Rogness-Fischer; Naughty By Nature's Anthony "Treach" Criss and girlfriend Cicely Evans; “The Jersey Shore's” Deena Cortese and boyfriend Chris Buckner; and a mystery couple that reportedly has a contentious relationship with the media.

From the producers of "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew," "VH1 Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn" features five couples at a crossroads in their relationships as they undergo three weeks of intensive relationship therapy. Under the guidance of Dr. Jenn, the couples will participate in group and individual therapy along with relationship exercises out in the "real world" to see if they can rekindle the love they used to have for one another — or if it's simply time for them to move on.
