Pipedream, Jimmyjane Host PDU at Williams Trading VIP Event

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Pipedream and Jimmyjane have returned from Williams Trading Co.’s 40th VIP Event in Baltimore, where the manufacturer presented an exclusive Pipedream University training seminar for retailers.

Attendees were introduced to both companies' newest releases, in-depth product demos and Planogram training. According to the company, more than 150 VIP retailers attended the event and graduated with honors, making it the biggest graduating class in the history of PDU.

Williams Trading’s weekend event included two days of training mixed in with three days of fun, food and festivities provided by Williams and Pipedream.

"We would like to extend our warmest thank you to the Pipedream team in supporting the Williams Trading Co. 40th VIP Event this past weekend," Williams Trading owner Bob Pyne, Jr. said. "The PDU seminar was incredible and it was the first time our customers got to interact directly with Pipedream and Jimmyjane's sales and training staff, and we're glad as always to have Nick and Pipedream as a Platinum Sponsor."

Scott Dantis, director sales and marketing for Williams Trading Co, added, "Working with Pipedream at the VIP Show, we were able to offer a comprehensive Pipedream University training program and strengthen our business relationships, while showcasing the exciting items from both Pipedream and Jimmyjane's product lines. Williams Trading customers were able to get a sneak preview of Pipedream's latest collections and receive hands-on education on both collections."

Both brands conducted two days of 25-minute seminars and got a chance to connect directly with store-owners, managers and buyers in small groups. Steve Sav, Pipedream Vice president of sales, said that the opportunity for face-time with decision-makers at the retail level was imperative.

"The VIP event was a wonderful, relaxed and business-focused forum to interact with Williams' best customers, who were inquisitive and receptive to everything we offered,” Sav said. “The three-day seminar was fun, informative and educational, and we can’t wait for the next one."

PDU is an instructional seminar designed to give distributors and retailers the training and tools they need to effectively merchandise Pipedream's brands.

The company said graduates from the program left the ceremony with custom diplomas and Masters Degrees from Jimmyjane, along with PDU and Jimmyjane T-shirts, training materials, brand one-sheets, and gift bags filled with Pipedream and Jimmyjane promotional materials.

More PDUs are planned for the future, the company says. For more information, contact a Pipedream sales representative.
