LOS ANGELES — Industry veteran David Peskin has become the sales manager for Third World Media.
Peskin brings more than 15 years of adult industry experience to Third World, which specializes in the production and distribution of ethnic-themed and transsexual product.
“I’ve been out of the business for two years,” said Peskin, who was national sales manager for three years at Vivid, where he worked from 2001-09. “I did license some content and did some clips stores and launched a Roku channel, but I was living in Vegas on the outside looking in. I was pretty much removed from the industry.”
Peskin said he and Third World Media president Steve Scott go way back.
“I have a long-time relationship with the co-owner and president of Third World Media and his partner Ed Hunter from the days of Samurai Video in the late ’90s. That relationship has continued over the years with various content deals and projects,” Peskin continued. “I’m just proud to be in this seat and represent such a solid company that produces such quality product. It truly is a salesman’s dream to sell the Third World Media product. And Grooby Productions is one of, if not the best domestic transsexual line in the market.”
Peskin also noted the recent launch of two membership sites, ThirdWorldSheMales.com and HairyinAmerica.com. He said the company soon would be re-launching its flagship site, ThirdWorldXXX.com.
“We’re looking for new revenue streams for our content and new platforms to deliver our content on,” Peskin added. “And Third World Media is coming up on 15 years in business this August. I’m just thrilled to be a part of it.”
Peskin will handle both foreign and domestic sales for all revenue streams, including the company’s mail-order business.
“I’m getting back in my groove and shaking the rust off,” he said.
