M Squared Productions to Launch Sex2ube.com

VANCOUVER, Canada — M Squared Productions says it will launch a free online adult community called sex2ube.com where surfers can upload and share their own homemade sex videos.

Allen Ingram, chief operating officer of M Squared, told XBIZ that the new site would be operational in the next two to three weeks.

“Sex2ube is primarily going to be a method of driving traffic to our own sites,” he said. “We’re going to be propagating it mostly with content from our own sites so we can give clips to people who are interested in our content, and we hope to drive them to subscription pages to join our various sites.”

The production company’s principal site, MaskTV.com, involves real people who live out their sexual fantasies while being filmed in the M Squared studio.

“Obviously the new site is going to be a traffic generator,” Ingram said. “We’re hoping people will send in their own content by submitting their fantasies, and sharing it with others. In this sense, MaskTV has become a sexual community. Sex2ube is trying to extenuate that market and bring that sharing environment home to roost.”

Ingram said he also expects viewers to send in their own videos and plans to run competitions from the new site, like Miss MaskTV and Mister MaskTV, giving away prizes such as cellphones.

He also plans to include mobile applications through which users can send in their votes and download pictures of candidates they like in exchange for nominal charges. Ingram added that this would create some mobile revenue as well as populate the site with viewers.

Sex2ube also will bring in a content management staff to help insure against copyright infringement on the site, as well as making sure all the videos meet legal requirements.
