Top Adult Industry Execs Speak at Digital Hollywood

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Top executives from the mainstream and adult entertainment industries are converging on the four-day Digital Hollywood trade conference in Santa Monica.

The conference, today through Thursday, includes seminars from numerous industry sectors, including video-on-demand, high-definition TV, mobile, DVD, games, broadband, home networking and digital rights media, as well as marketing and advertising.

The event also includes one seminar of particular interest to those who want to understand how the adult industry pushes technology to mainstream.

XBIZ Publisher Tom Hymes will moderate the adult industry panel that is slated to include Gregory Clayman, VS Media president; Marc Brown of Waat Media; Jay Grdina, ClubJenna president; and Darren Roberts, Adult Video News’ president.

The panel also will include Peter Holt Gardiner of Elipse Entertainment Capital. Gardiner is said to have brokered the $17.6 million deal between ClubJenna Inc. and Playboy Entertainment Group.

The adult industry players will focus on adult industry business models and focus on content optimization across multiple platforms, such as membership sites to broadcast to mobile.

Digital Hollywood takes place today through Thursday at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. The adult seminar is slated for 2:15 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26.
