VALENCIA, Calif. — Director B. Skow has been nominated as Best Director at the 2014 Fannys Awards.
The fan selected awards will be presented at the EXXXOTICA expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Voting is open until April 12, when the winner will be selected.
“It’s such an honor to be nominated by fans of my work,” B. Skow said. “The fans are the ones who buy and watch our films, and it’s an incredibly humbling experience to see them take the time to place their votes for this nomination. Thank you to them and to Girlfriends Films, which has provided me with a fantastic environment to express myself and push my artistic boundaries.”
Skow noted that his distribution and directing deals with Girlfriends Films recently passed the one-year mark that began with the company’s first-ever boy/girl titles, as well as lesbian features and vignettes.
“I encourage the Girlfriends Films community to take a minute each day and vote for Skow,” Girlfriends President Moose said. “If you’ve seen his amazing body of work this past year, from ‘Homecoming’ to ‘Daddy’s Girls,’ you’d know he deserves the award.”
