Lucas Signs On to Distribute Fierce Dog Debut

LOS ANGELES — Lucas Distribution has agreed to a one-year distribution deal with the fledgling production company, Fierce Dog. They will initiate their new partnership with Fierce Dog’s first-ever release, “The Bottoming Desire, MasterPiece.”

“I am looking forward to a long and successful relationship,” said Michael Lucas, president of the distribution and entertainment company that bears his name.

The terms of the deal will require Lucas to handle Fierce Dog’s DVD distribution in the U.S. market only, while the production company is responsible for putting its product on the international market.

“We approached several distributors,” admits Jesse Kiehl, Fierce Dog’s president, “and we felt Lucas was the best fit. They handle a smaller stable of production companies than some of the other distributors and that was important to us. We wanted an organization that would be able to pay more attention to us, and Lucas provided that.

“And we were what they were looking for, too. They wanted a high quality production, and we shoot all of our movies in high-def.”

Lucas agreed, adding that Fierce Dog uses “hot guys that meet the Lucas standard of quality.”

“The Bottoming Desire, MasterPiece,” which will be available domestically by mid-October, stars Brad Star, Jarrett Fox and Tory Mason. Kiehl believes that it will put his production company “on the map” in the DVD market, and promises that customers can anticipate much more in the future with releases that will include Pierre Fitch, Brent Everett and Jeremy Hall. Kiehl added that he will be producing DVDs that feature amateurs, as well.

Fierce Dog began as a wager between Kiehl and a few friends. On a dare, he shot his first movie, “and it just took off,” he added. “We’ve had a lot of good experiences and we’ve met some great people since we started this.”
