Asa Akira to Appear on 'Loveline' With Dr. Drew

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Elegant Angel director Asa Akira will be appearing as a special guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Loveline" tonight at 10 p.m.

The multi-award winning adult star joins hosts Dr. Drew and “Psycho” Mike Catherwood, who provide sex and relationship advice to the lovesick and simply curious.

“I am so excited to be a guest on 'Loveline,' ” Akira said. “I grew up listening to 'Loveline.' What the show and Dr. Drew do is so invaluable for young people seeking advice on relationships, sexual wellbeing and addictions. I feel honored to be a part of the program, and hope everyone will tune in tonight to listen.”

Akira made her directorial debut for Elegant Angel last summer with “Gangbanged 6,” and has since gone on to direct volumes of the studio’s popular series, including “Best New Starlets 2014” and “Cuties 6.” Akira also helms the new line “Asian Bombshells.”

Among her many accolades, Akira was named Female Performer of the Year in 2012 by XBIZ. Her debut memoir “Insatiable: Porn — A Love Story” is slated for release this May by the Grove Press.

Akira’s appearance on Loveline is scheduled for 10:15 p.m. to 11 p.m. PST on KROQ 106.7, in the greater Los Angeles area. Those outside Los Angeles can find their local station and airtime on the show’s website. Listeners nationwide can call in to the program by dialing 1-800-568-3191.

Launched in 1983, "Loveline" is a call-in question-and-answer radio program geared towards counseling young adults on the topics of love, relationships, sexuality and addiction. The show is hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, a board-certified internist and addiction medicine specialist, and comedic radio and TV personality “Psycho” Mike Catherwood. The duo is often joined on the air by celebrity guests.
