LOS ANGELES — Vivid today has announced the debut of “Austin Powers XXX: A Porn Parody,” now available on Vivid.com. It will hit stores nationwide Feb. 25.
Directed by the ever-prolific B. Skow, the original screenplay offers a comical tale set in height of the swinging 60s, before jumping three decades into the future.
Tommy Pistol stars as Vivid’s own “international man of mystery” Austin Powers and as his nemesis Dr. Evil, harkening back to Mike Myer’s dual-role in the original trilogy. Raylene plays Vanessa Kensington, the totally shaggable young agent/love interest.
The cast also includes Nina Hartley as Frau Undawaren and Jerry as Leopold Harkenfish. Allie Haze and Evan Stone make appearances as Fembots.
Vivid describes its new XXX film as a “parody of a parody” given that the original “Austin Powers” series itself spoofed the stiff-upperlipped “James Bond” franchise.
“The Vivid parody of a parody is definitely on the shaggier, erotic and, of course, funnier side of Powers,” Vivid said in a release.
