PornStarTweet to Relaunch as Star.xxx

LAS VEGAS — The developers of PornStarTweet.com announced today that on Feb. 20 the website will officially launch as Star.xxx.

The date marks PornStarTweet’s 5th anniversary.

Over time, PornStarTweet expanded to encompass 12 different niches and become known as social media The Naughty Tweet Network. The operators said the site amassed more than 750,000 active Twitter followers and in excess of 100 million monthly impressions.

The site has also sponsored a number of adult events and acquired Tattle.xxx in 2013.

“For the past few years we’ve been considering our long term viability as a brand,” Founder and CEO Pete Housley, said.

He added, “We’ve had tremendous success with Tattle.xxx and it has become one of the top consumer focused news sources in the industry. When we launched Porn Star Tweet it was 100 percent focused on Twitter and over the years we’ve come to embrace other platforms so for some time we’ve been looking to move away from the word ‘tweet.’ As we researched options to freshen and expand our brand two concepts kept coming up —Star and XXX; the leap from there wasn’t difficult — and Star.xxx was born.”

The new site is being developed from scratch, according to the creators, and will include new features that have been in development for more than a year. Star.xxx will remain true to its roots with a strong focus on social media in a “new re-imagined format” that will integrate media to leverage search engine and social media. The platform will also be integrated with adult entertainment platforms, news sites and other sources to offer a single integrated source for individual talent. The site will also continue to work with a wide array of genres including BBW, fetish, gay, tranny and more.

The new platform will also offer genre focused advertising and sponsorship opportunities.

Star.xxx will debut to the public at AEE, where the company said it will play host to multiple stars in its booth and be the host of the annual "Porn Star Bingo" charity event on Jan.17.

“We’re tremendously excited about the opportunities that Star. xxx will offer fans, stars, and sponsors," Housley added. “We will launch with some amazing base features and add new functionality over the next few years. This is quite truly a re-imagined platform that we hope will be as successful as PornStarTweet has been for the past five years. We’re confident that Star.xxx is a brand that will be much more recognizable to the industry as well as the mainstream.”

The site’s iconic ‘Tweetie’ symbol will continue to a part of the new Star.xxx logo.

Unique sponsorship opportunities are available in advance of the launch. For rates and availability information email Denise Kraftat denise@naughtypr.com.
