TORONTO — Good for Her on Thursday announced that the deadline for submissions for the 2014 Feminist Porn Awards is Jan. 17, 2014.
“We’ve started to receive an exciting array of work submitted to us and we’re very much looking forward to the next couple of weeks," said Lorraine Hewitt, head juror and creative director of The Feminist Porn Awards.
The ninth Annual Feminist Porn Awards will be held April 3 and 4, 2014 in Toronto. The events include a screening of nominated films with directors, producers, and performers in attendance as well as the Feminist Porn Awards Gala at the Capitol Theatre. The Awards have been celebrating diverse sexuality, desire, and ethically produced porn since 2006. They offer audiences an alternative to mainstream porn and access to provocative sexy films that are sometimes not available to a wider audience.
“Every year we have an even more diverse group of films by people of all sexes, genders, bodies and desires to share with our growing audience," said Carlyle Jansen, founder of Good for Her and The Feminist Porn Awards. "We look forward to seeing what expanded feminist expressions of porn look like on screen, and seeing more locally produced films."
