Platinum Blue Productions Expands Marketing on Café Press

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — In the hopes of expanding its brand name appeal, Platinum Blue Productions has opened a store on CaféPress.com where fans can buy promotional items from the company such as posters and T-shirts.

Using the Café Press site, which allows a business to create made-to-order merchandise, company owner Skye Blue said her fans would be able to buy gear ranging from caps, coffee mugs, T-shirts, underwear and even postage stamps, all branded with the company logo and images.

"I saw a prototype T-shirt with Naudia Nyce and Ariel X from 'Shock Pussy' and went nuts,” Blue said. “This gives our fans a chance to wear a piece of our movies, and it's great for promotional swag. We don't have to lay out a fortune for a run of t-shirts and can even mix themes."

According to Jay Moyes of Black and Blue Media, which handles publicity for Platinum Blue, all the merchandise will be PG-rated, with the images toned down on the Café Press site and absolutely no profanity.

Platinum Blue goods available on the site include images of Aradia, Monica Mayhem, Tiffany Taylor, Shy Love, Brandi Wylde and Brittaney Starr, to name a few.

Moyes said he turned to Café Press when he was doing a Platinum Blue promotion on KSEX. The ease with which he was able to produce a cost-effective custom T-shirt inspired him to suggest launching a store aimed at fans. The company plans to continue and expand the Café Press venture for the foreseeable future, according to Moyes.
