THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Jay Allan announced that in addition to their high-end DSLR productions, they are now shooting in Cinema 4K for adult clients.
“We will offer the same Glamcore cinema style we are known for on sites like Babes.com but now we are shooting in this much higher resolution format,” Allan said.
Jay Allan Productions shoot on Red One, Canon, or Black Magic Cinema Cameras.
“We are a very tech-forward production house,” Allan said. “We were at the forefront when the 5Ds came out and we continue to be at the forefront with RAW Cinema and 4k Digital.
“We have already tested the pipeline and can handle shooting, archiving, and editing of UHD 4k
material.”
Jay Allan has more than 20 years of experience in the adult industry.
While 4k displays are not yet a standard common format, there are already several 4k TVs available on the market for less than $1,000 and many computer monitors can take advantage of the higher resolution now. All 4k footage can be output in 1080p and 720p as well.
“We know 4k is not for everyone, of course” Allan said. “We will continue to shoot 1080p scenes, but for the big guys who want to stand out this will be a great addition to their existing library and will likely become a huge selling point in the near future.”
