X-Play, Will Ryder Nominated for 39 XBIZ Awards

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Director Will Ryder and his production label X-Play have been recognized with 39 XBIZ award nominations, the studio announced.

Among the nominations are the films “Not the Wizard of Oz XXX,” “Grease XXX,” “Not South Park XXX,” “Love Boat XXX” and “Not the Bradys XXX Marcia Goes to College.”

"Say what you want about awards shows but I love going to them and I'm so proud of the effort, commitment and performances of our casts and the dedication of our crew which resulted in what many feel are the most entertaining adult movies of the year," Ryder said.

He added, "Earning this many award nominations doesn't happen by accident so I salute our cast and crew and I thank them from the bottom of my heart because without dedication you have mediocrity and that just doesn’t cut it if you want to stand at the top of the pack. I want to thank everybody at XBIZ for the fantastic recognition of our cast members and of our movies, which were quite out of the ordinary this year.”

The studio said this year might have been its best ever, pointing to “out of the porn box” films like “Not the Wizard of Oz XXX,” a big-budget, fast-paced musical parody of the classic 1939 Judy Garland classic.

Earlier this summer, Ryder and his X-Play production company also wrote, directed and produced the sex comedy “Love Boat XXX a Parody” for Adam & Eve Pictures,  along with a reprise of the what started the parody craze with the fifth “Not the Bradys XXX” volume — “Not the Bradys XXX Marcia Goes to College.”

"It takes a dedicated team effort to truly compete and create porn movie magic and we asked a lot of our cast this year and they delivered some unbelievable performances and some wonderfully entertaining movies," Ryder said.

Hosted by adult film superstar Jenna Jameson, the XBIZ Awards ceremony will take place on Jan. 24 in Century City, Calif. amidst the XBIZ 360 event series.
