Cam4 Donates $5,000 to Breast Cancer Research Foundation

TORONTO – Live amateur webcam site Cam4 has donated $5,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to mark the launch of Cam4 Cares, a fundraising program that gives back to various healthcare charities.

Cam4 Cares is the company’s first foray into fundraising. A percentage of proceeds raised from limited edition gifts will be donated each month to a charity foundation. Currently, Cam4 is raising money for the global Movember charity. A donation will be made in December, the company said.

“Not only does Cam4 Cares visually raise awareness about important health issues to our millions of visitors, but it’s also a fundraising platform that allows us to involve our models in giving back,” said Jas Kase, Cam4’s director of sales and marketing.

In 2012, Cam4 Gifts was introduced as a more personal way for viewers to tip models. There are now over 100 gifts to choose from, ranging in price and theme.

During October, Breast Cancer Awareness gifts were added to the site and a percentage of the proceeds made up the $5,000 donation.

“The choice to focus on healthcare charities was easy. Without the health of our models and viewers, we wouldn’t have a site.” Kase added “This wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible community, so I want to thank each and every user who shared a Cam4 Cares gift.”
