Honey’s Place Participates in the Annual Walk for Hope

SAN FERNANDO, Calif. — Honey’s Place raised and donated $14,000 in its first participation in Walk for Hope at City of Hope in Duarte, Calif. on Sunday, Nov. 3.

The Walk for Hope is a movement dedicated in uniting the survivors and supporters of women’s cancers. This annual event raises funds to aid research, treatment and education.

Honey’s Place says the company was made aware of the Walk for Hope annual event through CalExotics’ team captain, company vice present Jackie White. Honey’s Place director of operations Dustin Olive served as team captain and coordinated all efforts of assembling and fundraising.

“We at Honey’s Place joined and wanted to make a difference in the fight against women’s cancers since more than 315,000 women will be diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancer just this year,” Honey’s Place CEO and President Bonnie Feingold said. “We wanted to do our part to help more women to live longer, healthier lives. Especially since our founder, Helene ‘Honey’ Kusens, lost her battle with breast cancer in 2002 which touches us personally.”

Olive added, “We want to thank our team, donators, and supporters in this very momentous event. Walk for Hope was a gathering where walkers were able to support each other while walking either the 2K or 5K. We definitely want to support the cause and found it moving.”
