LOS ANGELES — Erica Fontes, the reigning XBIZ Foreign Female Performer of the Year and the first porn star from Portugal, has released a book about her career in the adult industry.
The title of Fontes’ book, De Corpo e Alma, means “Of Body and Soul” in English. While the first printing was only done in Portuguese, an English-language version will be available soon.
“It is an erotic story with real facts which account all my private and professional life, where people can see more about me and the adult industry,” Fontes told XBIZ Friday. “I speak of the adult industry, the good and bad things that exist.”
She also includes anecdotes about her her marriage to fellow porn performer, Angelo Ferro.
“I was inspired by the book of Fifty Shades of Grey, but with my own life using the real facts,” Fontes said, adding that it took her about six months to write.
“The topics I wrote about are the private life of a porn actress, love, sex, fantasy advice, the adult industry, the XBIZ award.”
The petite blonde star, who still resides in her native Lisbon, has been a guest on national talk shows in Portugal and done a series of appearances in her home country as she promotes the book. She said the response “has been very successful because there was no book genre and also because I am well-recognized in my country.”
“Throughout my career I often do interviews with TV programs, radio, magazines and newspapers,” she said.
The book is available online or in bookstores in Portugal.
Fontes has performed in more than 100 movies, including titles such as this year's "Private Specials 76: Take the Mike" (Private), "Beautiful Sex" (New Sensations), "Lust Unleashed 3" (Digital Sin), "Put It in Her Ass 5" (Reality Kings) and "Teen Fidelity 7" (Kelly Madison Productions/Juicy Entertainment).
She started her porn career one week after her 18th birthday in 2009.
