8 More Penis Pills Placed on FDA Warning List

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration has posted eight more advisories warning consumers about sexual enhancement products.

The latest products earning the FDA' s disapproval include XZen Xpress, XZen 1200, Wood-E, XZone Premium, XZen Gold, Virilis Pro, PHUK and Prolifta.

So far, the FDA has blacklisted at least 36 penis pill brands since January.

The penis pills, all marketed as 100 percent herbal, are sold online and at retail shops. But with each of the brands, FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that they contained trace amounts of sildenafil or tadalafil or both. sildenafil or Tadalafil are the active ingredients in the FDA-approved prescription drugs Viagra and Cialis

The drugs may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.
