PARIS — France's acclaimed porn director John B. Root has joined forces with the Cam4 webcam community to broadcast live from the set of his upcoming film, “Des Filles Libres.”
But there’s a meta-twist: “Des Filled Libres” is a fictional film about a house populated by cam girls.The studio says its a case of "life imitating art."
Cam4 is currently featuring live shows starring “Des Filles Libres'” cast of French porn stars, including Nikita Bellucci, Angell Summers, Charlotte de Castille and Carla Cat.
"The direction of porn is headed to webcams,” Root said. “Here we are, filming a movie about girls performing in front of webcams, so what better way to make it sexier than to do it all in front of a webcam ourselves?"
Traffic levels have been high, with one show alone drawing in 11,000 viewers.
Jas, Cam4’s director of marketing, mused: "People like the connection a webcam gives you — the feeling that you're attainable and real, but also feeling that you're special and that not everyone can see the show. We’ve been able to bring the best of both worlds together, and our viewers love it."
The final show from the collaboration between Root and Cam4 will air tonight from 2-5 a.m. PST.
