Industry Vet, Komar Co.’s Ed Ronemus Passes Away

BALTIMORE — Ed Ronemus, who worked for Komar Company for 12 years and within the industry for more than 30 years, passed away Sept. 8.

“A 30-plus year veteran of the adult industry, Ed was the consummate professional who knew this business inside and out,” Komar Company owner Morton Hyatt said. “His vast knowledge of the products, people, and relationships, built over an amazing 30-plus year career, made him an invaluable part of the Komar Family, a fixture in the adult industry, and mentor to those of us who were lucky enough to work alongside him. He was much loved and will be greatly missed.“

Komar Company’s Mike Savage added, “I did work with Ed briefly he was a gentleman, very friendly and helpful. He had a great memory, knew almost every store in the country and the owner or the buyer, he knew when they last ordered, what they liked, it was pretty amazing.”

Ronemus is survived by his wife of 27 years Tommie Ronemus, five children, 14 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces , nephews, and in-laws. A memorial for Ronemus was held on Sept. 14 in Laurel, MD. Memorial donations may be made at Casey Cares Foundation, 3918 Vero Road, Suite C, in Baltimore, or online at CaseyCares.org, or Believe in Tomorrow Children's Foundation 6601 Frederick Road, in Baltimore or online at BelieveInTomorrow.org. Donations may also be made to the American Cancer Society.

“From these simple, yet deeply felt words, we celebrate our memories with Eddie, and send our deepest sympathies to his wife Tommie and their entire family,” Hyatt said.
