Exotic Erotic Ball Goes Large For Halloween

SAN FRANCISCO – Marking its 27th year of celebrating everything erotic, the Exotic Erotic Ball has announced plans for its largest ever event, slated for Halloween weekend. The landmark costume and masquerade ball will be bookended by a two-day Erotic Expo that features panel discussions on 1st Amendment rights, exotic fashion, erotic art, adult products, games, website content and novelties, show producer Howard Mauskopf announced. There also will be a Lifetime Achievement Award, which in 2005 went to Larry Flynt.

Last year, the Exotic Erotic Ball was scheduled a week before Halloween at its usual Cow Palace location, but this year it coincides with Halloween weekend and is expected to draw a record number of people from the San Francisco Bay Area.

“I’m pulling out all the stops, bringing back some past favorites and adding some of the top burlesque and fetish performers from Europe,” event founder Perry Mann said.

Other special highlights for the Oct. 27-28 event include a motorcycle caravan arriving en route from New York, party buses, goodie bags, a human petting zoo, an exhibit on local erotic art and shuttles to and from the local BART station.

Show headliners are George Clinton, Thomas Dolby and Too Short, with guest appearances from adult stars such as Tera Patrick, Violet Blue, Raquel Devine and Dutch playmate Ancilla Tilia, who will perform her erotic shaving show. Comedian Paul Nathan will act as master of ceremonies.

The Exotic Erotic Expo is open to the public on Oct. 27 from 2-10 p.m., and Oct. 28, from 12-6 p.m. The ball begins at 8 p.m. on Oct. 28.

“The Exotic Erotic Ball has never been a passive event,” Mann said. “This year, we’re going a step further, and I can safely promise that anyone attending the 2006 Exotic Erotic Ball is in for an unprecedented experience, as they will see things they have never seen before.
