MIAMI — Cuban American adult star Angelina Castro has announced that she will now appear as a regular guest panelist on ''Arrebatados" — a weekly mainstream Spanish talk show hosted by TV personality Maria Laria on Americateve.
"I am honored to be appearing on Maria Laria's ‘Arrebatados.’ I would have never thought a Cuban porn star would be asked to be a weekly guest on a mainstream talk show,” Castro said.
“Spanish people are a massive growing voice in the U.S. and worldwide," she added. "Having a chance to be known in the community for something other than just taking my clothes off is a great opportunity. We have very open and frank discussions about sexuality and it is a terrific opportunity to reach and educate people."
Archived shows can be viewed on Castro’s blog and on YouTube; one episode guest-starring Castro received almost 2 million views.
“Arrebatados” airs every Wednesday at 1p.m. PST and can be seen online here or on Channel 41 in Miami, Castro’s stomping ground.
Castro, named one of XBIZ’s Top 100 Newsmakers in 2011, is no stranger to the mainstream media. She frequently appears on Telemundo broadcasts and national radio shows.
