CLEARWATER, Fla. — Having hosted an awards show for the pleasure products sector earlier this month at the ANME Show in Burbank, Calif., StorErotica will present its awards honoring the soft goods portion of the industry during the International Lingerie Show in Las Vegas.
The StorErotica Awards ballot, consisting of seven soft goods categories, will be posted online at StorEroticaAwards.com to elicit final tallies. The ballot is set to launch Aug. 26 and will be live for two weeks.
This year’s soft product awards will include StorErotica’s Special Focus Award, honoring one Special Focus editorial seen in the magazine over the past six issues. In 2013, the StorErotica Special Focus Award honors eight companies that were featured in the Special Focus on Male Intimates which appeared in the August 2012 issue.
“The phrase Male Intimates is no longer an oxymoron,” StorErotica’s Kristofer Kay said. “As we’ve seen in the pages of the magazine and the exhibitors at ILS, male intimate wear is one of the fastest growing market sectors in adult retail. Boxers be damned.”
The StorErotica Awards will be presented on Sept. 23 during ILS’ opening night fashion party gala.
“Presenting this portion of our awards has become standard at ILS,” says Kay. “The fashion show draws in thousands of industry professionals who, by and large, reflect our magazine’s readership. It’s a perfect pairing for the evening.”
