Webmaster Central: Gay Mobile Users Up 50% in 2013

TAMPA BAY, Fl. — Webmaster Central says it has seen a 50 percent increase in the number of users who access its gay content libraries via mobile devices, and has nudged owners of gay adult sites to take note.

In 2012, the number of mobile users was half the size it is now, the company said.

“This is great news for the adult industry because it’s one more indication that mobile is a serious force for revenue expansion,” said Webmaster Central CEO Andy Alvarez. “We’ve been beating this drum for a while now and there’s no sign that mobile is slowing up in 2013.  In fact, the trends keep showing upward momentum.”

Webmaster Central is a provider of leased HD video content for adult websites, including gay content to fit a variety of niches. All of its videos are optimized for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets.

“Our clients thrive because we keep them ahead of the technology curve,” Alvarez added. “By the time many of our clients realized they needed to get serious about the mobile game, we already had a massive library of mobile-optimized content ready for use.”
