Tanya Tate Debuts Comic Book Creation at San Diego Comic Con

LOS ANGELES Tanya Tate heads into San Diego Comic Con with several scheduled events.

She has made her mark in geekdom with her fun superhero costumes that she has taken to wearing at many pop-culture events. That love of cosplay evolved into the JustaLottaTanya.com blog, which feature her video reviews and event coverage.

Tate will be unveiling her new comic book character, Lady Titan, at the July 18-21 event.

Created by Tate, Lady Titan is a planned comic book series that will have its roots based in the mythology of live-action superhero television.

In Lady Titan, an out of work actress obtains a costume of a 70s television superhero that enables her to perform great feats. Mastering those abilities proves to be elusive but that does not stop an emerging horde of villains from causing mayhem and coming after her.

“Lady Titan is a character that will be played straight but will also have fun with the conventional idioms of superheroes,” Tate said. “The character herself is not a Superhero but someone thrust into that role; partially because of her sense of what’s right, but also her own survival. I think readers will have fun with Lady Titan.”

Tate will be signing limited edition Lady Titan posters at the Geekscape.net booth. Fans who visit booth #3919 have the opportunity to acquire an exclusive 11x17 poster of her creation.

“The artwork is incredible. The lads really captured the spirit of what I want to convey with my character,” Tate said. “Geekscape is awesome. It’s the hub of pop-culture and I’m very thrilled to be signing at their booth.”

To kick off her Comic Con weekend, Tate will be taking part of a panel Thursday morning, July 18. At 10:30 a.m., in room 8, Tate will represent FirstComicsNews.com and a mixture of industry experts for the How to Get News Coverage (for Small Press) panel.

Further information on the panel can be found here: https://sched.co/1246IaB.

Thursday night Tate will be hosting Hot Sexy Cosplay Live: An Erotic Costume Ball presented by Go Freak Media.

On July 18, from 7-10 p.m., Comic Con attendees are encouraged to slip into their superhero costumes and kick off the weekend with a party that takes place at the Double Deuce located at 528 F Street in the San Diego Gaslamp district.
