Good Vibrations Partners With Planned Parenthood

SAN FRANCISCO — Good Vibrations, the well-known retailer, announced it is partnering with Planned Parenthood starting today through Sept. 30.

Good Vibrations’ customers can support Planned Parenthood centers online and in Good Vibrations’ Brookline, San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland stores by making a financial gift at the time of their purchase in any Good Vibrations retail stores.

Donations will be directed to Planned Parenthood Shasta Pacific in San Francisco, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte in Berkeley and Oakland, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts in Boston, and Planned Parenthood’s national office online. Good Vibrations said that 100 percent of the contribution goes to the nonprofit of your choice.

In announcing the partnership, Good Vibrations said that Wendy Davis’ moving 11-hour filibuster rescued 37 clinics in Texas and inspired thousands of people across the country to stand up for reproductive freedoms. But the Texas legislature is poised for another attack, and Planned Parenthood is more vulnerable than ever.

Planned Parenthood provides life-saving preventative health care to three million women across the country offering birth control, life-saving breast and cervical cancer screening, STD testing and treatment and HIV testing among other crucial preventative health care and information services.

Planned Parenthood believes that all people deserve the information and expert services they need to make informed, personal decisions that affect their health, their lives, and their futures.

“GiVe” is Good Vibrations' extensive donation and sponsorship program.

For more than 30 years, Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers and has provided much needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, breast cancer awareness and much more. Good Vibrations regularly partners with a different nonprofit organization and encourages their customers to contribute directly to them at check-out, online and in the stores.

Good Vibrations’ non-profit partnerships highlight their longstanding commitment to health and well-being for all people.

Good Vibrations Executive Vice President Jackie Strano explained, “We stand with Wendy Davis and we stand with people’s access to accurate information, adequate health care, and sex education. We stand with Planned Parenthood.”

Staff Sexologist Dr. Carol Queen remarked, “We are confident that our customers will appreciate an easy opportunity to make a difference, for themselves and people in their communities. Planned Parenthood has stood by women and their health and well-being for over 95 years, and we intend to support them to ensure that they can continue to provide quality service to women everywhere.”
