The 6’3,” 243 lb. Brink, a Huntington Beach, Calif. native, has fought professionally for the past eight years, compiling a 26-18-1 record. Coming off a four-fight losing streak, Brink won his last match against Adam Nance by technical knockout. A submission fighter, the heavy-handed Brink has fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, King of the Cage and Rage in the Cage. While in the UFC, Brink lost a high-profile bout to former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.
Brink was scheduled to fight King of the Cage heavyweight champion, Kadalack Marshbanks at The Grove in Anaheim, but Marshbanks did not clear medical waivers.
Brink has worked steadily as a male performer after getting his start in adult films in late-2002 through his friendship with directors Sal Genoa and Vince Voyeur.
“It’s really different to go from having sex with a gorgeous lady to letting it all hang out in a very physical fight in a cage,” Brink said. “I really love to make it with women, but when I get in that cage, I get really aggressive.”
Brink’s opponent for tonight’s fight is Sherman “The Tank” Pendergast, a former Division 1 wrestler. The 6’ Baltimore native weighed in at 242 lbs. Pendergast has been training with Iowa-based Team Militech. Matt Hughes and Tim Sylvia, two current UFC champions, also train with the team.
Notorious pit fighter David “Tank” Abbott has been training Brink at Golden West College in Brink’s hometown. Abbot will serve in Brink’s corner for the fight.
Pangea Fights starts tonight at 7:30 p.m. and tickets may be purchased from the Palladium box office, or Ticketmaster.com. The fight card is comprised of 11 three-round matches.
