Ward said the site will serve multiple purposes, from helping the company connect with fans and promote new projects to providing Ward with a vehicle for voicing his opinion on issues affecting the industry.
He said the blog will not shy away from controversy but will largely avoid gossip.
“People who know me know that I have a lot to say,” Ward said. “There is so much information about our industry that would be of great interest to fans and pros alike. I know it will be a bit controversial, but I am looking forward to it.
“I am not going to be mean or nasty — I have a reputation in the industry as one of the good guys, and I am going to keep it that way. I will, however, offer balanced commentary on things I find important to our business.”
The site, which went live July 31, contains interviews with new performers such as Raging Stallion’s own Jake Deckard as well as other industry pros such as cameraman-turned-director Ben Leon. It also gives fans a peek into the personal lives of performers and directors, including photos from industry events.
Ward’s on-sets postings will give readers a first-hand look at how porn is made.
“We have a lot going on here at the studio, so there will be no shortage of things to write about,” Ward said.
Ward, previously the editor of Trust magazine, added that he hopes to establish a personal tone for the blog and will be happy to accept outside contributions for postings.
