TTS Announces ‘Health Screening Month’

MIAMI -- Talent Testing Service Inc. today said it will start screening for hepatitis B  and hepatitis C on all basic panel tests through July 7 as part of “TTS Health Screening Month.”

The full panel test price will change to $120 and applies for all samples collected at  Talent Testing facilities in Northridge, Calif.; Miami; and 300 affiliated draw stations in the U.S.

"Today we are implementing what we call ‘TTS Industry Screening Month,'" said Sixto Pacheco, president and CEO of TTS. “We hope that everyone, from established talents to newcomers to the industry, take advantage of this additional screening at no extra cost. This month-long event will also reset the industry health statistics giving us a clean slate for the second half of the year.”

The basic panel test includes screening for syphilis.

According to the CDC and American Cancer Society, viral hepatitis is a leading infectious cause of death in the U.S. The majority of liver cancers in the world are attributable to chronic infections of hepatitis B  and hepatitis C. Primary prevention of hepatitis B infection includes vaccination. Hepatitis C infection is potentially preventable through public health measures, including screenings.
