Digital Sin Releases ‘Game v.1’

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Fresh off the success of his first-ever adult film, Digital Sin has begun shipping director Ethan Kane’s second big budget feature, “Game v.1.”

New to adult filmmaking, Kane’s first movie “Crush,” was released on May 25. Kane is under exclusive contract with Digital Sin.

“Ethan has a six picture deal with us,” Digital Sin President Scott Taylor told XBIZ. “They all will be high-budget movies. Ethan approached me at the January Adult Entertainment Expo, showed me his reel, and I was absolutely amazed by what I saw. He is a master of his craft.”

“The Game v.1” stars Herschel Savage as narrator, taking the viewer through five scenes of highly stylized vignettes, according to Director of Marketing Michael Siegle. The movie has been described as an X-rated “Red Shoe Diaries.”

Kane said the movie was shot over two days in two different warehouse locations in Los Angeles.

The movie also stars Penny Flame, Cassie Young, Roxy Jezel, Audrey Hollander and Roxy DeVille.

“The movie was shot on standard definition video,” Kane told XBIZ. “What makes it look different than other projects shot on video with the same camera is that the video is processed by special software, which frame by frame corrects the image to simulate the stock of film in aspects of color, saturation, glow and other characteristics generally only possessed by film. It’s a time consuming process, but it makes a major difference in the end product.”

No stranger to big budget productions, Taylor told XBIZ “The Game v.1” cost approximately $70,000 to make. Sister company New Sensations released the big budget “Dark Angels” and “Dark Angels 2: Bloodline.”

Kane hopes to create a long-running series out of the project, and has already shot most of the second volume. He wrote all the dialogue for the movie.

“I think the main character Mr. Kane has a lot more to say,” Kane said. “With Mr. Kane I get to rant about things on my mind and it’s a nice release. I’ve already shot most of the second installment and will get the project into post in the next month or two.”
