Scott Taylor, New Sensations Receive Awards at AdultEx

LOS ANGELES — New Sensations and its founder, Scott Taylor, last week received 2013 AdultEx awards for Studio of the Year and Services to the Industry awards, two of the Australia-based show's highest honors.

Calvista AdultEx, the Southern Hemisphere's largest B2B gathering of adult industry manufacturers and retailers, holds an annual awards show recognizing outstanding achievements in adult.

New Sensations, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, has built its reputation on delivering quality adult entertainment in a variety of categories from couples-oriented feature films to hardcore all-sex releases. During 2012, the studio released some of its most critically acclaimed films to date including such titles as "Torn," "The Innocence of Youth," "The Friend Zone," and "Meet Bonnie," taking home more than 14 awards between XBIZ and AVN this past January.

"Delivering high-quality content to the adult marketplace has always been a top priority for each new release our studio puts out," remarked Scott Taylor, president for New Sensations/Digital Sin. "Regardless of the genre, we ensure that each and every product we provide to our consumers, upholds the standards we've set as a studio."

Shortly after New Sensations was presented with the Studio of the Year award, Michael Bassett, CEO of Calvista Australia, took the stage to read a long list of Taylor's accomplishments before honoring him with the coveted, Services to the Industry award.

Taylor is the founder of such companies as one-stop distribution hub, National Universal, New Sensations, Digital Sin, and NS Novelties. He also co-founded Digital Playground back in 1993 and serves as acting president for Fantasy Lingerie.

Some of Taylor's most notable achievements recognized by AdultEx were the creation of the first interactive DVD format during his time at Digital Playground, "My Plaything," the XBIZ Award-winning Romance Series and his well-received parodies that have generated national mainstream media attention including: "The Sex Files: A XXX Parody," "Star Trek TNG: A XXX Parody," and "The Big Lebowski: A XXX Parody."

Taylor was genuinely surprised by the win, saying, "Being honored with the Services to the Industry award by AdultEx was such a surprise. It was a great tribute to my career accomplishments and I am truly humbled and very grateful for the recognition."

He also expressed enthusiasm for New Sensations' Studio of the Year award win. "We continually strive to produce the highest quality products available in the market today and receiving this kind of recognition from AdultEX is truly validating," Taylor said.
