ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Kelly Shibari was named 2013 BBW Female Performer of the Year at the inaugural Fanny Awards, April 20 in Atlantic City.
The accolade, dubbed the Whole Lotta Love award and previously titled Hungry Hungry Hottie, was decided upon by a fan vote and presented at the Exxxotica sex expo.
Shibari is an Asian BBW performer and PaddedKINK.com director/producer.
The award marks Shibari’s first individual trophy. Shibari’s BBW site PaddedKINK.com was honored at the 2011 Feminist Porn Awards.
“I can only attribute my Fannys win to my fans," she said. "From my fanbang film 'Kelly Shibari Is Overloaded' to how they interact with me on social media on a daily basis, it really is the fans that drive me to keep making sexy movies. A special thanks to the organizers of Exxxotica and the Fannys for allowing the fans a venue to show their love and for being open-minded and including niche categories. I am truly appreciative.”
During the 3-day Atlantic City expo, Shibari signed autographs for the show’s attendees.
Fans were also able to purchase Shibari’s DVDs and take photos with her.
“We purposely made our award show categories as diverse and sexy as Exxxotica has a tradition of being,” the Fannys director Dan Davis said. “Our ‘Whole Lotta Love’ category was one of the most popular to vote on, and we are proud to present Kelly Shibari with the Fanny.”
