Porn and Punchlines Show to Debut at the Laugh Factory

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Producer/director/performer Tee Reel is adding another title to his resume: comedy show organizer. His Porn and Punchlines show makes its debut Aug. 11 at the Laugh Factory, bringing together professional standup comics and adult performers with comedic aspirations.

“Our lives in general are funny,” Reel told XBIZ. “A lot of comics hang out with porn stars, and I believe live comedy and porn are the last art forms that allow true freedom of speech and expression.”

Reel said that as he began making friends in the comedy world, the idea seemed like a natural one. When he met KC Armstrong of “The Howard Stern Show” and Adam Hunter of Showtime’s “White Boyz from the Hood,” they decided to bring the idea to life.

“We started drinking and brainstorming,” he said. “When you add a little alcohol, the ideas start flowing. We thought it would be good to do a 100 percent live, uncensored show where comics can talk about their lives and sex, and I asked specific performers I know who have good jokes to get up on stage and do them with us.”

Armstrong will host the show, with a lineup of standup pros that includes Hunter, Greg Wilson and Evil Angel’s Yoshi. Ron Jeremy will be the opening act, and Corey Holcomb of “Last Comic Standing” and “Nick Cannon’s Wold N’ Out” is the headliner. Adult performers taking part include Jasmine Tame, Leah Luv, Hillary Scott, Trina Michaels, Delilah Strong, Courtney Cummz and Nikki Hunter.

In addition to standup, shows will feature merchandise giveaways.

Reel said programming executives from Showtime already have contacted him and will be in the audience for the opening night. Reel and his co-organizers will stage a new show every Friday.
