LOS ANGELES — XBIZ TV is pleased to announce an exclusive new video interview with the New Sensations production team of Eddie Powell and Jacky St. James.
Powell is the reigning XBIZ Award-winning Director of the Year – Body of Work, while St. James won Best Screenplay for “Torn” at the 2013 XBIZ Awards in January.
The duo also co-directed “Torn,” the romantic drama that also received XBIZ Awards for Best Couples-Themed Release, Best Actor (Steven St. Croix) and Best Actress in a Couples-Themed Release (Remy LaCroix).
One of the reasons why the duo works is the obvious chemistry the two share on the set.
“While she’s doing the acting coaching and running through lines and stuff like that, I’m in the other room putting together a shot and blocking it out, essentially,” Powell said.
While “Torn” may be Powell and St. James' most acclaimed collaboration to date, this year’s “The Submission of Emma Marx” was their most challenging.
“That was a little bit of a challenge because we hadn’t shot like that before,” he said.
St. James added, “We never got a break on that movie, not one.”
Powell and St. James also revealed some early details about their next project.
