Magdalene St. Michaels, Giovanni Francesco Win Mile High Madness

LOS ANGELES — Mile High Media on Monday announced that Magdalene St. Michaels and Giovanni Francesco are the 2013 Mile High Madness champions, capping off the company's month-long social media tournament.

The duo narrowly edged out Lily Cade and Nina Hartley for the honor.

Mile High Madness originally consisted of a field of 64 porn star pairings selected from fan submissions and divided into four regions – Mile High Media’s studios (Reality Junkies, Sweetheart Video, Sweet Sinner, Sweet Sinema).

In addition to each of the Final Foreplay scenes being filmed for a future Mile High Media movie, the submitters responsible for the pairings will receive a DVD copy of the movie with their pair. They will also receive a six-month membership to the Mile High Media pay site for their winning region.

On March 25, the Final Foreplay round began with four pairings representing four Mile High Media studios: Natasha Starr and Sean Michaels (Reality Junkies Region), Angell Summers and Keni Styles (Sweet Sinema Region), Cade and Hartley (Sweetheart Video Region), and St. Michaels and Francesco (Sweet Sinner Region).

Votes were cast through Twitter (Twitter.com/MileHighMovies), Facebook (Facebook.com/MileHighMedia), and email (MileHighMediaMadness@gmail.com). While every couple in the Final Foreplay round were guaranteed to shoot a scene for Mile High Media in the coming year, only two pairs could move on.

Cade/Hartley and St. Michaels/Francesco advanced to the final on April 5. After tallying up the votes cast on Facebook and through emails, Lily and Nina were narrowly ahead by a mere 30 votes. However, Magdalene and Giovanni took the majority of the Twitter votes, thus securing the championship.

“I am ecstatic with the overall results for Mile High Madness this year,” said Mile High Media Vice President Jon Blitt. “More than twice as many votes were cast throughout the tournament, with a thrilling number for our championship round. Congratulations to Magdalene and Giovanni. I know fans are extremely excited to watch the scene they film for Sweet Sinner.”

Twitter user @LindsayHudson32 will receive six-month memberships to all four studio's paysites for selecting the championship pair.
