Sssh.com Interviews Nick Hawk From Showtime's 'Gigolos'

BOSTON — Sssh.com guest host Ashley Fires has interviewed actor Nick Hawk (star of Showtime's “Gigolos”) in a candid one-hour video session.

Topics range from how he went from being a nice boy in Wisconsin to a professional gigolo in Las Vegas to what motivates women to hire a gigolo in the first place.

Hawk also talks about how the show is meant to represent a movement towards empowering women with the confidence that they get to choose who is in their bed, when and for how long.

The interview delves into Hawk’s experience as one of the stars of the hit series, now in its 4th season, including a series of stories about date mishaps.

“It was a joy and a thrill to hear a male gigolo's perspective on sexually empowered women, and to get a candid look behind the scenes into his profession,” Fires said. “Nick was just a delight to interview and we managed to cover a whole lot of ground over the course of our hour together in a fast paced and often humorous way.”

One of the more memorable mishaps, Hawk said, was an episode in which one of the other gigolos set him up with a surprise client. When he arrived at the hotel room, he was greeted by an enthusiastic woman dressed in a full length fuzzy bear suit. A clip from the “fuzzy bear” scene is available here.

"It was just great doing an Ask Me Anything interview with Ashley at Sssh,” Hawk said.

“She's sharp as a tack, and really nailed it with asking me good questions about being a gigolo in real life and on Showtime’s hit series, ‘Gigolos.’  We also had fun talking about the new Nick Hawk Gigolo Collection from California Exotic Novelties.  An all-around great experience and Sssh.com can have me back anytime.”

The interview concludes with a conversation about Hawk’s collaboration with California Exotic Novelties on the development and marketing of the Nick Hawk Gigolo collection, which includes a variety of Nick Hawk Gigolo-branded pleasure products including a blow up doll.

Fires adds some humor to the segment by pulling out a Nick Hawk Genuine Cast Dildo with moveable balls and at the end of a duet, in which he sang the song "I'm just a Gigolo" with Fires using the dildo as a percussion instrument and managing to accidentally bonk herself in the eye with it and fall off her chair.

The clip is here.

Susan Colvin, President and CEO of California Exotic Novelties said, “The Nick Hawk Gigolo Collection is being introduced to the market now, so the interview on Sssh.com is perfect timing. I know the host, Ashley, discovered what a character Nick is when she interviewed him. I’m confident that fans of Nick will also have fun discovering his toy line.”

According to Sssh.com Publisher Angie Rowntree, who produced the project, “Sssh.com was thrilled to have the opportunity to interview Nick Hawk from Showtime’s Gigolos. Ashley is a great interviewer and Nick has a very unique perspective on a lot of topics of interest to our women viewers.  The combination of these two charming and vibrant personalities created a fantastic dynamic which I am sure will be very enlightening and entertaining to everyone that sees it. I am also very happy that CalExotics participated in this fun project to showcase their excellent pleasure product line.”

The full interview will be available on Sssh.com.
