L.A. Weekly Compiles List of the 'Next?' Jenna Jameson

LOS ANGELES — A dubious short list of porn stars that “could” rise to the stardom of Jenna Jameson has been compiled by L.A. Weekly.

Although some who made the list are popular porn names, no hard criteria was offered as to why or how these current stars could fill Jameson’s shoes — like the fact that Jameson became a porn superstar because of her mainstream celebrity — not necessarily due to her industry chops.

Other than some notable industry awards and on-screen sexual prowess, the list was devoid of any real mega-star power.

Here’s how porn star Alexis Monroe is described in the story. “Even as porn has expanded, happily, to include women of all shapes and sizes, with different hairstyles and tattoos and piercings, the classic blonde bombshell silhouette has stayed strong. And Alexis Monroe — taking the name of another famous towhead — is the newcomer ensuring that the look doesn't die with the times. A lion's mane of blond cascades from her head, curves assault the viewer upon peeping her pics, and light green eyes gaze up at the camera in every photograph she takes. Repped by Adult Talent Managers, the 22-year-old Monroe is what could be called a porn traditionalist.”

In no particular order of importance from 10 to 1, the list included Remy Lacroix, Alexis Monroe, Riley Reid, Staci Silverstone, Tasha Reign, Bonnie Rotten, Veruca James, Skin Diamond, Lily Carter and Anikka Albrite.

Some of the report’s “promising newbies'” attributes include Reign’s former career as a Playboy model, and alt-girl James’ CPA job before porn, but other than their performances with some of the known studios, not much was put on the table for any of the stars that could vault them into Jameson’s category.

And suspiciously absent from the list — without even an honorable mention — was Sasha Grey, who if ever decided to return to the industry, would be a shoe-in as the Millennial’s porn queen.

It’s a wonder if a list were compiled of male talent, would it be missing James Deen as the next Ron Jeremy?
