LOS ANGELES — Zero Tolerance has set a March 26 release date for writer and director Mike Quasar's "Measure X," a satirical look at the passage of L.A. County's Measure B condom law.
Zero Tolerance is donating all proceeds from the sales of "Measure X" to the Free Speech Coalition's legal efforts to abrogate the law, which mandates the use of condoms in adult video productions shot in Los Angeles.
The film, which wrapped in January, tells the story of Michael Winestain, a corrupt politician responsible for the passage of a mandatory condom law that puts the adult industry under siege from "bumbling condom police."
A safe-for-work clip from the film can be seen on the Zero Tolerance YouTube page.
"Measure X" stars Joanna Angel, Jayden James, Adrianna Luna, Bonnie Rotten, Lola Foxx, Capri Cavanni, Madilyn Monroe, Anthony Rosano, Will Powers, Tommy Pistol, Chris Cock, Pat Myne and Derek Pierce — all of whom waived their fees.
"We were flooded with calls from talent and crew who wanted to donate their services to this film," Quasar said. "Everyone worked long hours and did an amazing job. I couldn't have asked for a better cast. Now, let's hope we can raise some money to fight this ridiculous law."
