LOS ANGELES — Howard Levine on Wednesday announced plans to release the first title from his new Exile Productions line of movies, "My Mom is a Whore."
The title, which was produced and directed by Levine, also marks the debut of Levine's own production imprint, Howielou Productions.
"I took inspiration from my hero Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Desi and Lou — Desilou," Levine explained. "My wife and I have tried to live our lives like that, so I went with Howielou Productions."
Levine said that Exile Productions would be releasing "no-nonsense," hardcore boy/girl movies with minimal set-ups. "My Mom is a Whore" reflects that approach.
"After 25 years of in-depth research, I’ve come up with guys just want to jerk off and they're not really interested in these big productions," he said. "It’s simple stuff. I’m not a brain surgeon that’s for sure. I don’t want to sit there and watch a whole long, involved story."
Levine added, "I produced, directed, did the catering, designed the box. I had my fingers in the entire production from beginning to end. I'm pretty sure I’m not going to win any awards with these. But I made them so someone could jerk off, or play with their partner, or learn some tricks that they haven’t done before. I've also included a warning label on each of my movies, which is really about being responsible."
The "warning label" on the back of the box says, "this movie will cause extreme erections."
Levine's day job is president of sales for Exile Distribution. He said starting his own production imprint is a natural progression at this stage.
"Exile Distribution has done really well over the last two years and it’s a recognizable name for all of my distributors. So I wanted to give them something they were familiar with. Howielou is kind of the background producers," Levine said. "In the last year, with AMKingdom and this new line, Forbidden Fruits and Porn Star Empire, OGEE and Assence, I’ve done really, really well and I couldn’t be happier. So what I wanted to do was add my own line to the mix. I honest to god have no room to take on another vendor at this stage. I’m going to be the last vendor I take on."
He said there are brief setups in "My Mom is a Whore."
"They're not nine minutes long, they're more like three minutes," Levine explained. "Thank god I’ve been married for 33 years. And some people don’t get that sentence for murder. If I got divorced or god forbid something happened to my wife, I can tell you I don’t have a lot of game left. If I was dating it'd be like, 'Do you want to get a pizza and fuck?' And I'm not really sure I’d follow through on the pizza offer. So I kind of put that into my movies. They're short on story, long on sex."
"My Mom is a Whore" will hit the streets on April 17. The second release is titled "Girl You’ll be A Woman Soon."
