Sureflix Digital Distribution Names Erik Schannen as CEO

TORONTO — Sureflix founder Erik Schannen has been named CEO of Sureflix Digital Distribution. Former CEO Eric Johnson remains as Chair of the Board, and will assist Schannen on financial and operational matters.

After a lengthy legal battle, Sureflix was returned to its original owners in 2012 as part of a settlement with Private Media Group, which had acquired the gay VOD network in October 2009.

“Sureflix has been a leading name in the gay adult industry with a trusted brand and reputation for quality products and services," Schannen said in a statement. "Now that Sureflix is once again back in the hands of its original owners, we can refocus our attentions on the products that made us successful.

"We intend to be more visible in the markets and more relevant in the gay adult industry. We are currently formalizing some strategic alliances and are working diligently to provide fresh new exclusive content to our network of sites.”
