ASACP Celebrates 10 Years at Farewell Executive Champagne Brunch

LAS VEGAS – Ending the XBIZ Summer ’06 Forum on the right note was on the minds of all convention attendees, weary yet fulfilled from an exciting and productive industry forum. The Farewell Executive Champagne Brunch sponsored by Sex Search provided an opportunity to say goodbye, discuss the past days’ events, and most importantly, celebrate ASACP’s tenth anniversary.

While attendees quietly ate brunch at the Simon Restaurant in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, ASACP Executive Director Joan Irvine publicly paid thanks to the key players and sponsors that have helped further the organization’s cause against fighting child pornography.

“After 10 great years we couldn’t have done it alone,” Irvine said. “Our sponsors’ support makes our fight against child pornography possible. Thanks to Alec Helmy, Brandon Shalton, our legal team, ASACP staff past and present and of course, our sponsors for 10 years of support. A special thanks to Alec for letting go of the organization and allowing it to progress on its own.”

Irvine also prominently gave kudos to the adult industry media for spreading the message of ASACP throughout the adult community, leading to its sustained and continued growth.

“ASACP’s effectiveness lies in our sponsors and members,” Irvine said. “ASACP reflects the energy and the will of the adult community that exploiting children is unacceptable.”

The XBIZ Summer ’06 Forum provided Irvine the opportunity to meet face-to-face with potential sponsors, and make her pitch as to why sponsorship in the non-profit organization benefits the adult community as a whole and protects children.

Irvine confirmed that she signed 3-4 more sponsors because of meetings she scheduled during the forum.

“It means a lot to sit down and talk with our sponsors and thank them in person for everything they’ve done,” Irvine told XBIZ after her speech. “I also met with potential sponsors I had never seen before. The XBIZ Summer ’06 Forum provided the organization the perfect opportunity to make this happen.”
