The Las Vegas production and distribution house signed the licensing deal with Rancho Dominquez, Calif.-based Charades Costume Co., a Halloween costume maker that also produces erotic lingerie.
Arrow’s Robert Interlandi told XBIZ that the costumes will be based on the company’s Classic Adult Movies hits “Deep Throat,” “Devil In Miss Jones,” “Candy Stripers” and “Debbie Does Dallas.”
“The adult costume industry is the largest growing [in terms of] garment sales for adults. So, I had this great idea to find a costume company that would understand the value of our iconic characters,” Interlandi told XBIZ. “We all know the characters — Linda Lovelace as the “Deep Throat” nurse and the Debbie Does Dallas cheerleader.”
Interlandi said that the Charades deal is the first of a number of licensing deals he’s been working on and that the costumes will debut at next week’s Adult Novelty Expo in Universal City, Calif.
Arrow also is planning a celebrity fashion show — the “Deep Throat Fashion Show & Party” — featuring the costumes at the Sheraton Universal Roof Garden on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
