Coquette Shows at Halloween & Party Expo in Houston

CAMBRIDGE, Ontario — Coquette says its sales team had a successful show Jan. 19 - 22 at the Halloween & Party Expo in Houston.

The annual trade show took place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. The event plays host to industry experts in adult and children’s costumes, accessories, props, makeup and decorations. While exhibiting at the show Coquette met with buyers to show off its 2013 Masquerade Collection of adult costumes.

“We were consistent with seeing buyers and the appointments we had booked with our current retailers,” said national sales manager, Dave George. “ Houston [Halloween & Party Expo] is an excellent opportunity for Coquette to receive feedback on its newly released collections and what’s in-demand for our customers.”

According to the company, trending this year are sexy animal costumes and iconic figures that offer a range of personalities. The Coquette designers extended their Masquerade line to include more accessories that accompany each style shown in their catalog. Many of the costumes come with headpieces, leg warmers and purses. Retailers had a strong response to the line that is all inclusive with the full ensemble styles, the company said.

“For our 2013 Masquerade Collection it was important for us to deliver fabulous designs that were accompanied by all the accessories shown in our catalog,” said vice president of sales and marketing Marcus Horea. “With all encompassing costumes the buyer has a complete outfit in the package without having to search for a variety of other pieces to compliment their look.”

Additionally, the Coquette designers have expanded on the themed corset line. This year they have introduced a tuxedo and showgirl corset. Coquette’s 2013 Masquerade Collection will be available in July.
