GENEVA — Playboy Enterprises International has taken over four domain names previously controlled by a website operator who offers live phone chat.
Last week, brand licensing company Playboy registered PlayboyCall.com, PlayboyCalls.com, PlaymateCall.com and PlaymateCalls.com after it terminated its case last Monday with domain name arbitrators at the World Intellectual Property Organization, commonly known as WIPO.
PlayboyCall, PlayboyCalls, PlaymateCall and PlaymateCalls previously were operated by the owner of Orlando, Fla.-based CallSexyModels.com, which redirected the websites to the click-to-call phone sex site.
All of the domains names apparently were given up in settlement without challenge to Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Playboy because the domains incorporate the famed adult trademarked name.
CallSexyModels' operator did not immediately respond for XBIZ comment.
