Judge Declares Ex-Porn Star Stacie Halas Unfit to Teach

OXNARD, Calif. — An administrative law judge has ruled that ex-porn star Stacie Halas is unfit to teach the students at Haydock Intermediate School.

According to VCStar.com, Administrative Law Judge Julie Cabos-Owen wrote in a 46-page report that Halas had failed to "establish that she can be trusted as a role model for children or an example of redemption."

Cabos-Owen also said that "the circumstances of this case most certainly demonstrate that one's decisions and conduct, particularly continual deceit, must bring with them certain consequences."

Halas was fired on April 18 by the Oxnard School District for having starred in a series of pornographic films that were discovered by students at Haydock Intermediate School, where she taught eighth grade science.

Halas argued that the movies were produced prior to her career as an educator (during an eight-month period between the years 2005 and 2006), but the board decided that her exposure as an adult performer would only continue to disrupt the school's learning environment.

Halas, who starred under the alias Tiffany Six in 22 adult productions, including Jules Jordan Video's "No Cum Dodging Allowed," in which she performs oral sex and double penetrations with up to four men, appealed the board's decision with the Commission on Professional Competence and was put on paid leave.

Her dismissal hearing began on Oct. 22 at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center. The 32-year-old Camarillo resident testified that she regretted her short-lived porn career, describing it as a sickening act of desperation.

Halas' attorney Richard Schwab said he and his client were "very disappointed" with commission's ruling.

“With all due respect to the commission's decision, we do believe Ms. Halas was being honest and forthright but was extremely embarrassed and humiliated by her previous experience in the adult industry,” Schwab said.

It is unknown whether Halas will choose to appeal the commission's decision with the Ventura County Superior Court.
