LOS ANGELES — Erica Fontes became the first adult performer from Portugal to win an XBIZ Award on Friday night, when she was crowned 2013 XBIZ Foreign Female Performer of the Year.
The 21-year-old star was born in Lisbon, Portugal, where she still resides.
“For me to win the 2013 XBIZ Foreign Female Performer of the Year gives me great pride and enormous strength to continue to work even harder,” Fontes told XBIZ Tuesday. “I am the only professional actress from my country where porn is still a ‘baby.’ And to compete for the award with the biggest actresses in the world is fantastic. I am very, very happy.”
Fontes started her adult film career in 2009, one week after her 18th birthday. She has performed in more than 100 movies to date.
“The porn was always present in my life. I love sex and I think that is most important to start,” Fontes said. “And when I did my first movie, I became even more passionate about the world of porn, and it has made me want to get as far as I can and take my country to be known worldwide.”
Fontes noted some of her favorite performances from the past year, including “Daddy´s Little Runaways” for Hustler Video, “Horny College Schoolgirls” for New Sensations, “Anally Talented” for Mike Adriano/Evil Angel, “Eye Fucked Them All” for Jules Jordan Video and “Panty Pops 6” for producer Kevin Moore and Evil Angel.
In terms of the future, the blonde stunner said, “I hope to work more and more. I wish I could get into big productions and continue to make all my fans happy and of course win more awards.”
